Be Well Be Green®

Oxygen

Be Well.

That’s an easy one. When we say “be well”, our good intentions are for one’s well-being — physically, emotionally, spiritually, un-stressfully ad infinitum. Overall, the intention is to wish one a good life, in its various meanings.

Be Green®.

Here at The Oxygen Plan, living in the green encompasses all of the above and more. Being green is being healthy and fulfilled in all areas of your life that have caused stress. The goal of our program is to make stress manageable for you; to lessen it or teach you how to discard it, completely. That’s what we call living or being in the green!

When you think about it, this concept of stress management is a natural progression of wellness; a function and continuation of it. Think of all the positive things we associate with the color or natural condition of being green. We hate to disagree with Kermit the Frog, but there is nothing easier than being green.

Newly grown grass is beautifully moist and green, displaying the health and natural growth of the soil and land beneath it. Whether or not you like them, many iron-rich vegetables are green and fun to eat. (Broccoli is definitely more of a finger food than a fork food.) Yes, “greens” are good for you but they also look pretty on your plate. (No cheating. Salads do count as vegetables.) How hard is this, to imagine? Not at all!

An interior decorator will tell you to stick something green- colored in a blah room, to perk it up. The same color that energizes also soothes the eye and the mood. Ask a five-year-old to draw a picture of the greater outdoors and they will, invariably, horizontally dissect the paper to accommodate sky and the land below. A generously crayoned baby blue sky — with black check marks for birds — will meet at an appropriately deemed horizon, beneath which sits an equally generous expanse of green. There may even be something resembling a tree — a broomstick looking thing, brown at the base, with green leafy things on top. “Green” also describes newness and beginnings. A trainee at work, for example, is “green” and doesn’t know the scope of a new job the minute they start working. Green is hopeful.

Being green is stress reducing. It encompasses a positive and advantageous state of mind — fertile with life-fueling vitality — waiting to become a lifestyle, waiting to live in the green.

Why Oxygen for Stress Management?

…because it saves lives… and that’s the short list.

What’s the first thing an EMT will snap on the face and nose of an emergency victim? Nine times out of ten? Right. An oxygen mask.
Not only is this action medically safe, but the reality that something is being done to (a) prolong life or maximize comfort or (b), to make the patient feel less stressed and anxious, psychologically, creates a win-win situation.

It can be argued whether or not that person actually needs to inhale oxygen, in its purest form, at the moment medical personnel arrive, but it sure can’t hurt. So, not only is oxygen life giving, it is also regenerative and calming.

Losing or not having the control we desire in our lives is one of our top stressors. Like the emergency victim who is now dependent on skilled EMTs to keep him/her medically safe, and, God forbid, alive, we often remain incapacitated in our reactions and classifications of when stressful events occur. Relying on old, ineffective ways of dealing with stress can often lead to physical and/or psychological illnesses.

How Can The Oxygen Plan help?

Using the natural benefits of oxygen as a positive, when we inhale oxygen, we are creating our own personal eco-system, by buddying up with the functions of bodily organs. Oxygen aerates our blood, as it pumps through our heart and vital organs, giving it strength and mobility to energize and heal.

When we are energized, physically and psychologically, we are more apt to strive harder and more powerfully to meet our full desired potential.

The process of achieving one’s potential is fueled, literally, by what we derive from our environment, in real or symbolic ways. When we achieve, we experience happiness and fulfillment.

So, if A equals C, the acquisition of more oxygen ultimately means realizing your happiness potential.

What if we told you that through a simple, easy to use program you could transform your life and increase your happiness, fulfillment and sense of well-being, would you be interested? The Oxygen Plan will show you the way, opening the door to health and happiness.

The Oxygen Plan is a continuous, life-improvement tool that will increase your overall sense of well-being and happiness. It was developed to help people increase their “consumption” of it—or to mentally think in terms of consuming more oxygen and moving closer to the concept of storing good, healthy mindsets and happy choices in our lives. Quite simply, The Oxygen Plan shows you exactly how to realign your strengths and “Live in the Green”, which translates to living healthily and happily.

The Benefits of Stress Management

How will I benefit from The Oxygen Plan?

Imagine not having a heated, knee-jerk reaction to stressful situations, but instead, a happier and healthier way to live that makes you feel as if you have greater control over the developments and interactions in your life.

Imagine avoiding the sweaty-palm syndrome for the rest of your life or the propensity to volley snappy answers back at otherwise simple questions asked by the same people, over and over again.

These people may never get it, living in the green, that is—and never vary their interactions with you; but you can change the tide and nature of your responses, each and every time. You can reduce stress in your life. It’s like becoming proficient in another language! Who knows? Maybe the new, improved, better you, will prompt them to investigate our program, too, and also decide to live in the green!

The most apparent benefits of living in the green are exactly what The Oxygen Program offers— quite simply, a quantifiable reduction in stress, a renewed sense of optimism, overall happiness and well-being and the kind of energy that keeps replenishing itself.

Studies have shown that behavioral changes (altering set habits or patterns) occur within and after a 30-day period of continued repetition. Like many popular programs in positive behavior modification (diet programs are good examples), The Oxygen Plan will be as successful as the amount of time and work you expend in achieving your goals in lowering and/or eliminating stress.

We equate happiness with “living in the green”, where revitalizing your oxygen intake (concentrating on positives) spurs sharpened physical and psychological health. For Charlie Brown, happiness is two kinds of ice cream. For you, happiness can well be the formation of two new kinds of stress-management techniques, to build on.

Optimism

The best indication of the kind of optimism The Oxygen Plan offers is evidenced by the fact that you are in attendance, here and now! Why would we get excited about something that is not going to be beneficial, especially when it promises reliable and discernible rewards?

The prospect of possessing all the positives our program can deliver, is an uplifting thought, isn’t it? It engenders a “can do” state of mind!
Yes! You can reduce your stress levels, you can live happier, you can be healthier, all of which adds up to safely and sensibly “best you”.
Optimism is powerful and persuasive. It tells your brain that you can do great things, which is flattering, and totally true! You deserve it. You deserve to enjoy the freedom of “wellness”.

Be well. Be green!

Energy

Who, exactly, can’t use and appreciate having more energy? We’re not talking about suddenly gaining the ability to lift refrigerators over our heads; we’re talking about cerebral energy, first and foremost.

Yes, the truth is that the body and mind are, in fact, in cahoots with each other. When your brain is not crammed with the effects of too much stress, those nightly jogs are certainly more enjoyable. Likewise, when you’ve escaped to the gym for an hour or two to de-stress, you may find that you’ve defused a stressful jolt and may even be thinking more clearly. The connection is inevitable. As humans, we are programmed to employ all of our resources to our best advantage.

It’s making a promise or pledge to yourself that you want to change and/or eliminate something in your life that does not feel right. If you were an ill-fitting pair of shoes, you’d be taking yourself back to the store for a pair that made you feel more comfortable, right?

Optimism is the fuel that propels open-minded people through new doors; through new experiences, and most often, through new found success. The doors of optimistic people are always, half open, at least.

Inspiration, in many cases, is a by-product of optimism. Once you’ve got the hang of something good, or witness great results, you tend to accept the wonderful outcome as something to be repeated and supported. Dedication to the pursuit and mastering of a goal is one of the most fulfilling and empowering feats known to man.

Energy:
A Stress Management Benefit

It is a proven fact that energy begets energy. From a chemical standpoint, healthy, steady physical movement and exercise releases energy-rich, friendly endorphins in our systems. Endorphins have long been known to hit the ground, running. If you rouse their vitality on a regular basis, God knows what physical and, in turn, mental miracles you will perform.

Energy can also be thought of in terms of cerebral creativity or social outreach. The brain is justly capable of changing its mind—and yours! If a course of action no longer produces the desired results, why would you continue to do it, over and over again?

If your stress patterns are mired in the same stale actions and reactions, the Oxygen Plan can show you how to remove the static in your psychological network.
