Step 1- Inventory
Taking Your Life Inventory:
Identifying Stress
Everyone needs to start somewhere on their personal journey to wellness and well-being.
Like opening the door to an old, packed closet, your first step in taking your life inventory, is to accept the benefits of tackling the task.
Think of it this way. That first handful of stuff you grab and throw out from that old closet, immediately gives you space you didn’t have before. You’ve already made progress! There are some things that are definitely “toss-able” and some can be saved or recycled.
The Life Inventory Exercise, comprised of a series of helpful, thought-related questions, is designed to allow you to focus on the pieces of your life which cause varying amounts of stress.
Imagine that your best friend needs your support as they talk through a problem. As a listener, you will begin to see and hear patterns and solutions. Now, suppose that best friend is you. By beginning an internal dialog, you will soon spot both the negative and positive patterns in your life.
The most effective result of identifying and honestly examining the components of people, places and things that cause stress for you, is, ultimately, acquiring the mind set and skills to do so. The personal freedom you gain will last a lifetime! Ready to begin?

Identifying your stress through the Life Inventory Exercise is the first step in The Oxygen Plan. Identifying stress is the first step to reducing it!
